Word of Life Christian Center

By MarionMade! on April 5, 2017

ROYAL RANGERS AND MISSIONETTES CLUB

Word of Life Christian Center, located at 580 Silver Street, has a local boys and girls ministry in the heart of Marion. The ministry is Royal Rangers and Missionettes Club and has classes for PreK-12th grade.

These groups are teaching these precious children biblical truths. Royal Rangers is a mentoring ministry for future men. They provide Christ-like character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment. The mission is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of men and lifelong servant leaders. They teach the kids biblical lessons, as well as merits to help them as they grow. They also go camping, fishing, hiking, take 25 mile bike rides, and more.

Missionettes are for all PreK students and girls K-12. Their mission is to teach girls (and preschool boys) through love and acceptance how to obey everything Jesus commanded us and to develop girls both spiritually and mentally. The girls also do biblical lessons and are taught the value of friendship, cooking, and more.

Word of Life has two 15-passenger vans and a 20-passenger bus that goes throughout Marion to transport children. Currently, they are averaging 80 children in their program. Their leaders invest their time, money, and prayer into each of these children. Every week the Word of Life Christian Center provides the children with a snack during classtime. The first Wednesday of the month, they also provide a hot meal. Once a quarter, they hold an event to get all of the children together. In the past, they have rented out Zoomers for a private party and they have also rented out the Steve Hogg Rec Center. They even had Officer BJ Gruber come out for a visit recently.

They love for the kids to get out and have fun and fellowship. They want the kids to know their leaders in church and outside the church.
